How to choose the right paper for your brochure
Sample article ·
The paper you pick changes how a brochure feels in the hand, and how your brand is judged before anyone reads a word.
Paper weight is measured in GSM. Light stock around 100 to 130 GSM suits flyers and pamphlets that are handed out in bulk. Around 150 to 170 GSM feels like a proper brochure. Visiting cards and covers usually go much heavier.
Gloss coated paper makes photos pop and suits product catalogues. Matt feels calmer and is easier to read under bright light, which many clinics and offices prefer. Uncoated paper takes pen well, so it works for forms and letterheads.
